So I left Norfolk around 3:00, got into DC around 5:30 and then when left DC a little late and it was a direct flight to Seattle. I landed in Seattle around 9:30 pm PST, which was 12:30 am for me, went to get my luggage and of course, it was not there. When I went to the baggage claim counter, they said they had found it and it was on its way. The woman said they could deliver it to my hotel, but it would be around 3:00 am. I said that's fine...just as long as it arrives. So, I go to get my rental car and of course, the rental car place was not located in the airport. I had to take a shuttle to the rental car place and of course, it took forever once I got there. There was a guy behind the counter who said, "Smile! You look so mad!" I said, "I can't help it...they lost my luggage and I am tired and ready to go to bed." By the time I got my car, I pulled my directions to the hotel out and of course, could not find my way. It was raining and I was going the wrong way. About 10 minutes later, I realized that I was not going the right way, turned around and finally found my way to the interstate. By the time I got to my hotel, it was about 11:30 pm (which is 2:30 am my time!). I let the woman at the front desk know that my luggage was supposed to arrive and if she could call me when it got there. I didn't want to be surprised in the morning if it hadn't arrived. Well, at about 2:30 am, I got a call saying my luggage had arrived. I scurried out of bed and answered the door when the security guy came and delivered it. So, I went back to sleep for a couple of more hours, got up and got ready for my meeting.
My meeting was supposed to last from 8-5, but we got done a little early and I ended up getting to the airport around 3:30. My flight didn't leave until 10:00 pm!!! So, I sat around the airport for 6.5 hours! UGH! Boring....but I did read a lot of my book, which was really good! The didn't have an earlier flight so that wasn't an option. All in all, my trip was not that great, but it is over now. We got a lot accomplished in the meeting so that was the most important part!
So, on to some good news. Tabatha, is pregnant! YAY! I am so excited, I can't even stand it! She told me while I was at the airport in Seattle and I looked like a fool crying in the shuttle. I didn't care...I am so happy for her and Kevin. They have been trying for a couple of months so it was definitely good news! She is feeling pretty good and she has her first doctor's appointment tomorrow. It is pretty exciting that our babies will be about a year or so apart! Hers is due around the middle of June! Pretty cool! We
She was down here this weekend to get her hair done and my sister got her bachelor's degree and her graduation was on Saturday. I was on my way to the graduation but my parent's told me that it probably was not a good idea to come because it was so crowded. Norfolk had a wine festival and with the graduation, parking was horrible. They had to park in a parking garage far away and walk, in the rain, to where the graduation was held. Then, they were sitting all the way at the top of the Scope and my mom said I would not be able get Brody's stroller up there. But, we did meet them for lunch afterwards. It was nice. Missy finally did it and we were all so proud of her (even though everyone left a little early :) and I know she is super stoked to have this part of school over with. Here are some pictures from lunch!
Well, I am going to go watch the game. It is the last game in the ALCS and the Red Sox have a chance of making it to the World Series again this year. Keep your fingers crossed! Mine are (and my toes!) Go Sox! :)
