So...this morning has been interesting. Last night, we gave Brody a bath and fed him about 3-4 oz. around 8:00 ish and he went down around 9:00 pm. He woke up at midnight and Ted fed him about 2 1/2 oz. and he was down by 12:45. I heard him around 3:45 am and fed him 4 oz. He ate all 4 oz. and was still fussy and was eating his hand. I tried to calm him down and he wouldn't let me so I figured he was still hungry. Ted got another 2 oz. and he ate about an oz and stopped but was still fussy. I finally laid him down in the bed with me (Ted went turkey hunting) about 5:45 and he slept until 7:45. I fed him and he ate 4 oz. and was still fussy. I figured today was just going to be a fussy day for him. I tried to hold him off for 3 hours and when we finally fed him, he ate 5 oz. Well.....5 oz. is apparently too much. He threw up all over Ted's mom and then went to sleep. The other night we fed him 5 oz. and he threw up all over himself in the crib. Luckily, Ted went in there and saw him because he didn't make a peep.
So....the conclusion I have come to is that 5 oz. is too much for him. He may want it but he can't handle it. His pediatrician told me that I could feed him 5-6 oz. at each feeding, but I am going to stick to no more than 4 oz. We go to the pediatrician on Monday and I am sure he has gained atleast another pound, if not 2. While I don't want him to gain too much, his doctor has told me over and over again not to worry about how much he gains at this point. Personally, I think chunky babies are much cuter than skinny babies. The more rolls the better! :)

I am so excited about your blog. I look forward to reading it. It is so much fun to hear all about what is going on in your life and with the baby. Samuel also can't really handle more then 5 oz. Their tummies are just so small. Pretty soon they will be eating everything in our house!
