Where Has the Week Gone?

I can't believe it is Thursday already! Where has the week gone? I feel like this entire week has flown by and I haven't done a thing! It seems like once I leave work, I pick up Ethan, sit in traffic and then get home and have about an hour with Brody before we feed him and put him down for the night. After he goes down, I am so tired that I pretty much go right to bed and watch TV.

I've also been having a really hard time sleeping for the past week or so. I have no problem falling asleep (Ted is always amazed that one minute I could be watching TV and then once I roll over and say Goodnight, I am out like a light) but I have a problem staying asleep. In the past, even though I might wake up in the middle of the night, I could always fall right back to sleep with no problems. Not recently!!! I seem to be waking up around 1:00 am and can't go back to sleep. I told Ted this morning that it sucks that this is happening now especially since Brody is sleeping through the night!! UGH!!! Speaking of sleep, I had to post the following picture that I took last week of Brody and Ted sleeping one morning. I am sure Ted is going to love the fact that I posted a picture of him without his shirt, but I posted the ones of him in the pool so what's another one, right? I love this picture and the fact that Brody is resting his hand/arm on Ted's!

A funny situation happened yesterday when I picked up Ethan and I just had to share. I think I had been chewing the same piece of gum since 1:00 (I picked him up after 6:00 pm). On the way home, I hate to admit this, but I tossed that piece of gum out the window as we were driving. Here is how the conversation went:

Ethan: "Did you just throw that piece of gum out the window?"
Me: "Yes"
Ethan: "Why did you do that?"
Me: "Because I had been chewing the same piece since about 1:00 today and it was getting gross!"
Ethan: "There are three things that are wrong with that! 1. Do you know that that piece of gum will sit on this Earth forever? 2. That piece of gum may land on someone's car and let's be honest...who likes to have gum on their car? and 3. Have you heard about global warming?"
Me: "HAHAHA! What do you know about global warming?"

Let me remind you.....Ethan is 10. Sometimes I wonder where kids get this stuff!
