Brody cut his first tooth today!!!! His bottom left tooth is just peeking out and you can barely see it, but you can definitely feel it! I can't believe he has a tooth already! (Sarah - I find it hilarious that Brody seems to be doing most of the things that Samuel is doing, just 2 weeks later! Maybe it is in the genes!) My dad has been a freak about checking his gums everyday and today was the lucky day. He told me when I was on my way home from work. I couldn't wait to check it out and sure enough, it was there! :) He didn't really give me any inclination that it was coming. The only thing that tipped us off that they might be on their way was the fact that that he has been drooling like crazy the last couple of weeks. He has a bib on most of the day and we go through about 5 a day! He hasn't been fussy or acting different so I didn't have any idea that they would be coming now. So...Brody has had 2 milestones this week and he turns 5 months old next Tuesday! I can't believe how fast time is flying by!!
So...Ted comes home tomorrow night. Yay! I was debating about whether to bring Brody to the airport with me or not because Ted's flight comes in at 8:30 pm. I am such a freak about his schedule, especially his night time schedule and routine, that I am afraid that will screw him up. My parents told me that I should definitely take him since Ted hasn't seen him in 3 weeks. I think I am going to. Worst case scenario is that he gets screwed up tomorrow night, but the good thing is that Ted and I are home on Friday (I am finally going to work from home this week, damn it! I have been going in the last 2 weeks and it sucks!) I think he will be pretty excited to see Brody especially since he has changed sooo much in the last three weeks. He is laughing at everything, and really grabbing and playing with his toys. I can definitely tell a difference in him and I can't imagine that Ted won't!
I saw Ethan Tuesday morning when I dropped Brody off Ethan's Nana's house. She watched Brody while my parents went to the spine doctor (more on that later). He said he has been having a good time at his mom's house and they went to Busch Gardens on Monday. He said he had a good time and he is actually old enough to ride all the rides now. When Ted and I took him last year, he wasn't tall enough to ride all the rollercoasters, so we were only able to ride 3. It was nice to see him....I have missed him this last 3 weeks. He has his karate belt testing this weekend so that will be cool. Ted got home just in time to see that!
So, my mother is scheduled for surgery next Wednesday. She went to see her spine doctor and they compared an MRI that was taken on Monday night with one that they took 2 months ago and they are not seeing any improvement. The doctor said that her herniated disk is in a weird location, but he is pretty confident that he can fix it with the surgery. He said that depending on how it looks when he goes in, he may have to do a spine fusion which means her recovery time will be longer. Right now, he is expecting her to be in the hospital overnight and she has to either limit her activity or stay off her feet (I can't remember which one) for 2 weeks. Either way, it will be tough and I know she is nervous and scared. But, everything will be better once she has the surgery and she is on the mend.
So...that is what has been going on here for the past couple of days. Hope everyone has had a good week so far. Can't wait for the weekend! :)

I can't believe he got teeth already too. It must be in the Teal genes. It is crazy how similar they are in their milestones. They must be just geniuses! Wish your mom good luck for us. We will be thinking about her. Love you guys!
