Uh-Oh Cheerio!

Okay...this post is really for me. I wanted to post about this yesterday but I forgot and I definitely don't want to forget about this so I figured I would blog about it.

On Saturday morning, Brody was eating some cheerios and drinking some milk out in the living room. When it is just me in the morning (Ted was in the garage packing up some stuff because he was going to be gone for the day doing some hunting stuff), I will normally give him some cheerios for breakfast and let him eat them in his chair in the living room while watching TV so I can feed Molly. This is the only time their schedules cross so this makes it a bit easier to manage. Well, when Molly got done, I got up to put the bottle in the sink and Brody comes running in after me and says "What happened nose?" Whenever he hurts himself, regardless of the body part, he always says "What happened _______?" This is his way of letting us know he hurt himself. I asked him what was wrong and he said "What happened nose.....Cheerio?" I was afraid to get a closer look because I was pretty sure what I was going to see. When I got closer and looked up his nose, I saw a piece of cheerio stuck up his nose. Of course, my panic button went off and thought "How the hell am I going to get that out?" Of course, once I started freaking out, Brody started to get a little worked up. I tried to push on his nostril hoping that maybe it would come out, but then I was afraid it was going to get pushed further up there. I opened the door to the garage, told Ted what happened and asked him to come inside and help. Next thing I know, Ted is standing there with needle nose pliers. Really? Did he think I was actually going to let him get those anywhere near Brody's nose. I had Brody come sit down with me and Ted went out in the garage to get something else. (He told me later he was going to get a Q-tip and somehow rig it so he could get past the cheerio and pull it out). As I was looking up Brody's nose, still not sure how he got the piece in there, Brody sneezed. Well.....here comes the cheerio and a whole bunch of other stuff. The funniest part was that it was a whole cheerio!!! I was thinking he only got a small piece, but nope! He had a whole cheerio stuffed up his nose!! Once it was all said and done, I laughed because Brody looked right at me and said "No cheerio up nose!" If only he listened to himself more often! :)
