Last Night

Guess whose transition to her room did not go as well as I hoped????

Luckily, she is so stinkin' cute and I forgive her! :) I started feeding her a little before 9:00 and was back in the room by 9:20. She restled around a little bit but feel asleep with no problems. I first heard her around 11:30, went in there and put the pacifier in her mouth and came back to bed. She then started crying around 12:30 so I decided to feed her. She went right back down and I thought "okay....this is good!" Then, she started crying at 2:30 and I went in there and gave her her pacifier numerous times with the hopes of her falling back asleep until she ate again at 5:00. No such luck. By 4:15, I couldn't stand it and decided to go ahead and feed her. I then decided to just bring in her our room and put her in the pack'n'play after that. She slept until 8:00 so luckily, I was able to get some sleep this morning. I am definitely going to keep at it and I know she will get it.

In the grand scheme of things, she did pretty good, and as the days go on, she will hopefully do better and better! I had all these plans to get stuff done today, but it is 9:45 and I haven't let my bedroom! I am hoping to get some motivation to atleast take the Christmas decorations down. Wish me luck!

I just read something in a baby book that said to put a heating pad in the crib to warm up the mattress before you put the baby in the crib. Then when you are ready to put the baby in the crib you take the heating pad out and put the baby where the heating pad was and it is supposed to make the transition to their own crib easier because it is nice and warm. I was going to give it a try when we eventually transfer our baby there, but you might want to try it and see if it helps Molly and then let me know.

I bet you are super tired this morning. I think you should stay in bed and in your room as long as possible. You won't be able to do that pretty soon.

Thanks for the tip. I don't think we have a heating pad (isn't that sad that I don't know that?) but I will definitely take a look. I am hoping that the next couple of nights will be better, but if not, I will definitely have to invest in a heating pad and try it out!

Saw your blog....I am hoping these next weeks go by fast for you. Keep us posted
